Design Lead

Job Description
As a Design Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire design process, from initial concept through to final execution. You will gather and prioritize design requirements, define the design vision, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional design solutions. Your role will include setting and tracking design performance metrics, conducting user research, and driving design innovation to ensure our products are visually compelling and user-centric. The ideal candidate is user-focused, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating design solutions that address real user needs and enhance overall user experience.
Responsibilities
Lead the design process, from concept through to execution, ensuring high-quality visual and interactive design outcomes. Develop and communicate a clear design vision and strategy.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and marketing, to ensure design solutions meet project goals and user needs. Coordinate with other designers to ensure consistency and excellence in design deliverables.
Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and refine design solutions. Continuously iterate on designs based on user feedback and performance metrics to enhance user satisfaction.
Oversee the creation of design assets, including wireframes, prototypes, and final visual designs. Ensure that designs are implemented accurately and consistently across all platforms.
Qualifications
- Experience: At least 7 years of experience in design, with a proven track record of leading design teams and managing complex design projects.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Visual Arts, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar. Experience with user research, prototyping, and usability testing.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a design team, providing clear direction and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand and address technical constraints and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and explain complex design concepts to various stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage design projects in a fast-paced environment.
